Born in 1957 in Cairo, Dr. Hala El-Said received her PhD in Economics in 1989 with highest honors from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University. In 2011 Dr. El-Said went on to become the first elected Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo University and subsequently the Deputy President for Scientific Research and Exterior Relations in 2013 at the same institution.
